LGSP awards 42 LGUs with the Kaagapay Seal of Excellence in Local Governance

Kaagapay, in the Filipino language, literally means "standing or walking side by side with another." Its connotation, though, in Philippine society, pertains to more than being there beside someone.... [more]
The use of a traditional weave-like design for the Governance Expo 2004 logo is suggestive of unity, multi-stakeholdership and teamwork. The overall look is dynamic and alive, the slanted angle of the weave connoting movement forward or progress.  "Tapat-Palakad" refers to good governance, "tapat" meaning honest, or with integrity and sincerity, and "palakad" symbolizing governance or a way of managing/ administering.  "Bayang Maunlad" is a progressive/successful country or nation.  The message of the slogan, therefore, is that we need good governance in order to progress as a nation.
